Janet Pimm, a 72-year-old former GCHQ employee, prefers the company of her plants to people. But when the local council threatens to bulldoze her beloved allotment under the guise of an “invasive weed” outbreak, Janet is forced to step out of her isolation. She reluctantly teams up with her upbeat, menopausal neighbor, Bev, to uncover a conspiracy involving property developers and local corruption. Along the way, Janet discovers that while society may treat older women as invisible, they possess a quiet power that is impossible to silence.
