Information about this book

Description

Though Sonia has always felt disconnected from her heritage, she is drawn into a local production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet being staged in the West Bank. Rehearsing in classical Arabic with a group of intense, passionate actors, Sonia navigates checkpoints, checkpoints, and the psychological barriers of the “Ghost” of her past. The novel is a masterful exploration of how theater can become a form of resistance and how a person can find themselves by stepping into someone else’s skin.
