Description
The story begins when an acquaintance approaches the narrator with a floor plan for a second-hand house in Tokyo. On the surface, the home is bright and spacious, but a closer look reveals a “dead space”—a windowless, doorless void hidden between the kitchen and the living room. Seeking a second opinion, the narrator consults an architect friend, Kurihara, who discovers even more unsettling anomalies: a child’s room that resembles a prison cell and a bathroom with no logical entrance. As they peel back the layers of these architectural “glitches,” they uncover a horrifying history involving a missing left hand, a family curse, and a house designed specifically for the act of murder.
