Daniel Wildenstein, art historian, editor and member of the Academie des Beaux-Arts in Paris since 1971, is director of the world renowned Wildenstein art galleries of New York, London and Tokyo. Throughout his impressive career, Wildenstein has directed various prestigious art magazines, among which Arts from 1956 to 1962 and since 1963 has been the director of the Gazette des Beaux-Arts. Special ized in Impressionism, he has edited catalogues on Gauguin, Monet and Manet.
