Throughout his impressive career, Wildenstein has directed various prestigious art magazines, among which Arts from 1956 to 1962 and since 1963 has been the director of the Gazette des Beaux-Arts. Special ized in Impressionism, he has edited catalogues on Gauguin, Monet and Manet.
