Ali has lived and travelled all over the world. Her critically-acclaimed debut novel, THE ETHAN I WAS BEFORE, received a starred review in Publishers Weekly. She lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband and two dogs. Alette grew up in a small town in The Netherlands and later moved to Rotterdam where she studied Illustration at the Willem de Kooning Academy. Alette loves to create colou rful scenery and likes to hide small funny details in her work. She currently works and lives in Paris.
